Question

When I try to run ActiveHome I get an error message like this: "Autoexec.nt - The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications." What can I do?

Answer

The autoexec.nt file has gone missing from the System folder (C:\Windows\System32) or is invalid. The problem may have been caused by a recent software installation, a virus, or spyware.

To resolve this error, navigate to the folder C:\Windows\Repair in Windows Explorer. Select autoexec.nt then right-click and select Copy. Now go to C:\Windows\System32 and type Ctrl+V. This will overwrite the current version of the file with the backup copy.
