If your PR511 Outdoor Motion Monitor lights do not turn on, the first thing you can try is checking that the bulbs in it are not halogen or fluorescent, as they will cause the lights to stay on.  If you are not sure which kind of bulbs you are using, try switching to standard indoor bulbs with the filament inside.

Questions

Why are my floodlights not turning on?

Answer

If your PR511 Outdoor Motion Monitor lights do not turn on, the first thing you can try is checking that the bulbs in it are not fluorescent, as they will cause the lights to stay on. If you are not sure which kind of bulbs you are using, try switching to standard indoor bulbs with the filament inside.

Second, if turned on by a command from an X10 Controller, the Motion Monitor stays on until turned off by one. Try sending an Off command to the Motion Monitor from an X10 controller, returning it to normal mode.
