Questions

Can I hook up an outdoor siren to my security system?

Answer

The PH508 Large PowerHorn or SH10A Small PowerHorn are remote sirens that trips a few seconds after the console. They can be plugged into an outlet anywhere in the home (at the other end of the house or in an attic, for example). They are not intended for outdoor use but can still function if protected by a weather-proof enclosure.

  • It is not possible to trigger a third party siren from the PS561 or SC1200 base consoles, because any module that might be used to control the siren (Universal Module or Appliance Module) will not respond to the All Lights On command transmitted during an alarm.
