Question

My VA11A USB Video Capture Adapter shows up in Device Manager after installation, but shows up as an Unknown USB device after shutting down the computer. If I unplug it and plug it back in when the computer is on, it finds it just fine. How do I stop this from happening?

Answer

The VA11A may not be getting enough power from your USB adapter. Just because there are multiple USB ports on your computer does not mean that there is enough power to run every USB item connected to them. Unplug other USB devices, or plug them into a powered USB hub to resolve this issue. Plug the USB Video Adapter into a USB port located directly on the back of your computer, not a hub or extension cable.
