There is a sticker on my Socket Rocket that says it must be mounted pointing down. Why does it say that?

Answer

The arrow has to point down for safety if the Socket Rocket is used outdoors. Doing so keeps rain from pouring into the socket. If you are using the Socket Rocket indoors, or outdoors in something like a coach light that has a waterproof cover over the lamp, then it should be OK.
