Why does my security system slowly chime when I try to arm it?
Answer
A slow chime on your security console usually means the exit delay feature is enabled. The chime begins when you try to Arm the system from the console or using the SH624 security remote with the delay switch set to "Max." This provides you with a 60-second delay period to leave your home before the system Arms and is ready.
If you would like it to Arm immediately, move the slider switch on the bottom of the handheld security remote to "Min"; then Arm it again. The exit delay is always enabled from the console and never from the keychain remote.
