How can I set my PR511 to control my lights, my appliances and my remote chime in the way that I want?
If you use the PR511 Outdoor Motion Monitor to control additional lights when it detects motion, set the Start Code dial for the Unit Code that controls the PR511 itself. Then set the four Sensor switches to IN to control 4 additional modules that are set to the Start Code +1, Start Code +2, Start Code +3, and Start Code +4.
For example, if the Start Code dial is set to 3, Unit Code 3 turns on the floodlights connected to the PR511. When the PR511 trips it turns on additional lights connected to modules set to Unit Codes, 4, 5, 6, and 7. (3+1, 3+2, 3+3, and 3+4).
IMPORTANT: If you want to control a remote chime, model SC546A, set it to the LAST code in the group. In the above scenario that would be Unit Code 7.
If you want to control 2 modules from the PR511, set 2 of the Sensor switches to IN, and make sure the SC546A remote chime is on the code for the second IN switch (5 in the example above).
If you want to control 3 modules from the PR511, set 3 of the Sensor switches to IN and the SC546A to the code for the third IN switch (6 in the example above).
