Question
Can I use the VCR Commander with other recording devices than a VCR?
Answer
Maybe. The VCR Commander can control most devices meeting the following qualifications:
- Infrared remote control
- Recording can be started by a single button press on the remote
- Pressing RECORD again will not stop recording
- Recording can be stopped by a single press of the STOP button on the remote, even if RECORD was pressed repeatedly
- Does not turn off or go to sleep automatically
To work with our video receivers, the recording device must also have a composite video input (yellow RCA cable.) If you come across some non-VCR recording device meeting these qualifications, please let us know.
