Question
Why is my PowerHorn silent?
Answer
If you have plugged in your power horn siren and are finding that it is not alarming while your console is sounding its alarm try the steps below before contacting support.
- Plug the power horn into a different outlet. For testing purposes plug it into the same outlet as the security system console.
- The SH10A may not have heard the console send several repeated on and off signals. This generally is what triggers the power horn. You can manually do this by pressing the on and off button repeatedly until the siren sounds its alarm. So, if it was set to A2, you would press the A2 on and off buttons on your palm remote repeatedly until the SH10A starts up. You then need to keep pressing the on and off buttons for it to keep making noise.
