Motion Sensor Code Change
Question
How do I change the House and Unit code that my sensor transmits?
Answer
Greetings!
Changing the Unit Code
Press and hold the Unit/Off button (under the battery compartment lid) the red light flashes first and then blinks the current setting. Release and immediately press the button the desired number of times for the Unit Code you want to set. Hold the button for 3 seconds on the last press. The red light blinks back the number of times for the code you set. Release the button.
Changing the House Code
Press and hold the House/On button (under the battery compartment lid) the red light flashes first and then blinks the current setting (once for A, twice for B, etc.). Release and immediately press the button the desired number of times for the House Code you want to set (once for A, twice for B, etc.). Hold the button for 3 seconds on the last press. The red light blinks back the number of times for the code you set. Release the button.
Troubleshooting
When you change the codes of the motion sensors you need to make sure you go through the steps with haste. When you press and hold a button to change the code the light will flash, go out for a few seconds, and then blink its current state. Two seconds later, it blinks again; this second blink tells you that the sensor has exited programming mode. When you see the first blink you need to release the button and start programming before the second blink. If you see the second blink it is too late. Make sure you are holding down the last press for the change you want to make. You also need to make sure you have a transceiver module plugged in and set to the same house code for the motion sensors to control a camera. Finally, if you remove the batteries from the sensor (to access the mounting screw holes, perhaps) you will need to reprogram the sensor once you put the batteries back in.
