How do I setup my Airsight Cameras to use Alarm Input Armed / IO Linkage on Alarm?



Answer

Alarm Settings for Internet Explorer

If you want to connect external alarm devices:

  • For alarm INPUT device, choose Alarm Input Armed to enable it
  • For alarm OUTPUT device, choose IO Linkage on Alarm to enable it.

External Alarm: Set external alarm function ON/OFF.

Alarm Duration: Set external alarm output duration (Relay close time), can be Forever, 5s, 10s, 15s, 30s, 60s.

Lose SD-Card Alarm: Set alarm triggered ON/OFF if the SD-Card is lost.

Alarm Input: Set alarm input ON/OFF, it supports NO/NC external alarm device, choose the correct mode to make sure it works well, it refers to the I/O pin6 (Input2) and pin7 (Input1).

Action with Alarm: These are actions optional for external alarm triggered.

  • You can also manually control the output switches via the WebUI buttons ALARMINPUT5.png & ALARMINPUT6.png to turn the connected device ON/OFF.



Input pins: Input pins (3 & 4) can be used for 1-way external sensor input to the camera.

  • For example, you might connect an external Passive Infrared (PIR) Sensor to it triggered the camera to send an e-mail and/or trigger the siren attached to the Output Pins (above).
  • If you link an external alarm device to Pins 3 and 4, when Alarm Input Enable is selected, the external alarm is armed.


NOTE: All pins work as a switch only.
