X10 Control With IconRemote Lite

Question

How do I control X10 devices with my IconRemote Lite?

Answer

The IconRemote Lite can send IR commands but not RF commands. You need an IR543 Infrared Mini-Controller to use the IconRemote Lite to send X10 commands.

Setup

1. Hit Mode on the remote until you get to the desired mode, like AUX.
2. Press and hold SETUP- the mode light will blink, go out, then come on steady.
3. Hit 0998. The mode light should turn off. (Please note that the owner's manual lists 0999 as an automation code; that is not the correct code for X10 control.

Controlling X10 Devices

1. Press and release the AUX button.
2. Use the number buttons to enter the Unit Code number of the chosen module- hit 0 to control module 10.
3. Press the appropriate button for the function you require:

On

CHANNEL +

Off

CHANNEL –

Bright

VOLUME +

Dim

VOLUME –

All Lamps On

POWER

All Modules Off

MUTE

Note: You cannot dim or brighten an Appliance Module. If the module was off and you press Bright or Dim (VOLUME+ or VOLUME-) this will simply turn the module on.

Changing the House Code

1. Press and release the AUX button.
2. Press and hold SETUP- the mode light will blink, go out, then come on steady.
3. Use the number buttons to enter the number equivalent to the chosen House Code (1=A, 2=B ..16=P).
4. Press the ENTER button to confirm the House Code. The LED turns off.
