Connecting the AirPad 7P to Power

The power adapter plug does not fit fully into the unit. There is a gap of approximately a quarter inch between the plug and the unit. It looks like it is a problem, but it is normal.

Also, it is possible to plug the power adapter into the audio output- it will fit, but will not charge. Here is the correct port:
