Question

How do I use my Lamp Modules with my SecuriLINK console?

Answer

Setting the House and Unit Code for the console

Press either of the Menu up/down buttons (under the lid to the bottom right of the display). Enter your PIN, then push 7 to go to the Options menu. Press the Up or Down buttons to get to the HOUSECODE and LIGHTCODE settings, then press OK. Next, select the desired Housecode letter, or desired Security Light Code, using the up/down buttons. Press OK. Press Clear to back out of the menu. You are asked to confirm, 1. YES, 2 NO. Pressing 1 takes you back to the HOME CONTROL screen. Pressing 2 stays in INSTALL mode.

Installing the Lamp Module to control the security light

  • Set the House Code and Unit Code dials to the same House Code and one Unit Code higher than the LIGHTCODE selected on the Security Console. This allows it to be controlled from the security light buttons on the remotes. For instance, the console defaults to A1, so you can set the Lamp Module to A2.
  • Plug a lamp into the Lamp Module and plug the Lamp Module into a convenient AC outlet, preferably an unswitched one to ensure that the lamp will always operate when the alarm is triggered.

Installing the Lamp Module to control other lights

  • Set the House Code dial to match the House Code set on the Security Console.
  • Set the Unit Code dial to an unused code which can be controlled from the Security Remote (switches 1-4 control Unit Codes 1-4) or from any other remote or plug-in controller as required. Alternately, set it to a Unit Code
  • Plug a lamp into the Lamp Module and plug the Lamp Module into a convenient AC outlet, preferably an unswitched one to ensure that the lamp will always operate when the alarm is triggered.

Local control

The Lamp Module includes circuitry to sense the lamp’s own on/off switch to turn the lamp on locally. To switch a lamp on, turn the lamp’s own switch off then on again.

Using the Keychain Remote (after installation into the console)

Press LIGHTS ON and LIGHTS OFF to turn on and off a light connected to a Lamp Module with the same House Code and one Unit Code higher than the LIGHTCODE selected on the Security Console.

Using the Security Remote (after installation into the console)

  • Press SECURITY LIGHT ON and OFF to control a light connected to a lamp module with codewheels set to the same House Code and one Unit Code higher than the LIGHTCODE selected on the Security Console.
  • Press the ON and OFF buttons under SECURITY LIGHT, numbered 1 through 4, to control Lamp Modules set to the same House Code (red dial) as the Security Console and whose Unit Codes are 1 through 4.
