Intermittent Vanguard Connection Issues
I can connect remotely sometimes, but not other times. What can I try?
The Vanguard ICC server will not stay connected all the time. What can I try?
First, right-click in the middle of the Vanguard window and select Check for Update, then try to connect again. If this does not succeed, then there are a number of things that can cause intermittent software issues. If you have any of these products, try disabling them in this order:
- Security suites, like McAfee or Norton
- Antispyware software
- Antivirus software
If you have a combination router/high-speed modem, try putting the Vanguard Server PC in the DMZ.
